SUPERLATIVE.

Japan Alps RAID - as featured in the 2024 edition of Condé Nast Traveler. This route has been chosen by Robb Report as one of “The Best Cycling Routes Around the World”!

There’s a certain trend in travel these days—journeys taken simply to check off distant, exotic destinations. But Japan? Japan transcends that. It’s a destination for those who seek the sublime, the pinnacle of experience. It rewards the curious, the earnest, and those willing to embrace a challenge far beyond the ordinary. RAID’s Bespoke ride through the Japanese Alps is the culmination of over a decade of meticulous exploration, design, and refinement—an ode to one of the world’s most extraordinary places to ride and to savor life.

Our journey begins outside Tokyo, where the urban vibrancy gives way to the serene. From the small village of Ome , we travel south on roads that defy description—narrow ribbons of flawless tarmac winding through dense, tranquil forests, climbing to summits that reveal breathtaking panoramas. These secluded routes rival Europe’s most iconic cycling terrain, offering a symphony of natural beauty and technical perfection. Each day is a masterclass in discovery, immersing riders in the essence of Japan’s unparalleled landscapes and culture.

As the sun sets, the adventure continues. Evenings are an invitation to immerse yourself in Japan’s unique elegance: soothing hot springs, exquisite cuisine, intimate lodgings, and the warm hospitality of its people. Every detail has been curated to connect you deeply with the spirit of this remarkable country.

“Japan is the most intoxicating place for me. The Japanese culture fascinates me: The food, the dress, the manners and the traditions. It’s the travel experience that has moved me the most.”
Roman Coppola
